Dark Wood's house Colombian coffee, originally known as El Jordan and now renamed Driftwood, has been available since 2018. This unique single-estate coffee produces "fresh" green coffee year-round due to its ability to yield a smaller fly crop in addition to the main annual harvest. Dark Woods appreciates the vibrant citrus acidity and caramel sweetness of Driftwood, making it their go-to choice for an all-day, everyday brew.
The decision to rename this coffee and incorporate it into their Core Range was influenced by its consistent year-round availability, distinguishing it from other single-estate offerings. It also provided an opportunity to feature another beautiful illustration from Swiss artist Julia Marti, whose work is integral to Dark Wood's visual identity. El Ata, named after the river that flows through the region, embodies those relaxed, carefree moments when you can simply lie back and go with the flow.
